New 1.7 Snapshot updates

The snapshot tool in 1.7 has been vastly improved. It is now possible to produce larger snapshots quicker and more accurately matching the viewport setup. The bug with the clipping region inconsistency between viewport and snapshot has been fixed as have the grid markers bug. On large images the markers would run-out.

You can also add your own logo to the snapshot (in position of Pointools motif shown in image)and an image title. See image below!

These features will be available in the next 1.7 release due in late August.

Text colour and fonts used can also be changed.

Much larger images can now be produced. I've successfully produced images up to 154 Mega pixels (17,000 x 9110px) on a laptop running WinXP (32bit) with 3Gb RAM.

Unicode image titling is also supported so asian languages can also be used...see below (apologies to Japanese readers, text is not very meaningful!) - Japanese text can also be drawn horizontally.
