| Managing Configurations Managing Cameras New in Pointools View 1.55 is the ability to manage sets of configurations. A configuration is the combination of the
following components:
The configurations manager can be launched via the Tools | Configurations menu item and is shown below.
![]() The following options are available:
New Adds a new configuration to the list. The configuration settings are taken from
the current settings. Remove Removes the selected configuration from the list. Apply Applies the selected configuration or component. Enable Enables a configuration component. Components are enabled by default. Disable Disables the selected configuration component. This prevents the component
from being applied when its configuration is applied. For example if you have a
configuration in which you setup a clip box and some lighting and intensity
settings but do not wish to use the camera position, you can disable the Camera
component. When the configuration is applied the Camera will not be affected. Configurations are saved in the project file (ptl) and provide a useful way of quickly switching between views and
setups. If you are distributing data consider pre-configuring a set of configurations in your project files to aid
collaboration on a project between users.

versions via the viewport menu. The camera manager has been designed to give easy access to camera management and
tools.
You can access the Camera manager via the Tools | Configurations menu item or the Configurations icon on the
Settings toolbar. The Camera manager is accessed via the Cameras tab.
